The Choices We Make
 |
Every day we make little decisions that actually
play big roles in the whole scheme of things: turning
left at a No Left Turn corner, which is illegal.
Throwing candy wrapper out the window, which dirties
the area. Saying good morning to a smiling security
guard, which could give him a nice day. Giving alms
to a streetchild, which may feed one mouth. Hailing
a cab in the middle of the street, which would cause
traffic. And the list goes on…
This summer, another decision would influence our
lives for the next few years. Our vote.
YTRiP does not support nor promote any electoral
candidate but we support causes. Our political scene
may not be as interesting or exciting as a beach
trip, but we know that if we elect people who are
not concerned about the environment, about communities,
about transportation – there might not be
a beach to go to later on. See the big picture.
That is just one thought out of seven thousand one
hundred and seven.
Our choices, our votes will reflect what kind of
country we want to have, of what kind of people
we really are. Choose well. Your life is at stake
as well as that of every other Pinoy.
Sa Mayo-katorse, pumili nang mahusay.
Piliin ang Pilipinas.
